Here's a quick card I made ......just because : )
The flowers are perky and fun : ) I cut them with my Cricut. The clouds I cut out of pp then stitched around with my sewing machine for more depth. Just a few random pearls and stickers here and there...for fun! The sentiment It's your Day is an epoxy sticker I had in my stash ...for.ev.er. Love when I finally use stuff up : )
It makes me feel happy seeing these soft colors of the puffy clouds paired with the bold orange button flowers!
I can't wait to plant some hearty marigolds with the kids...soon!
Do you prefer container gardening or straight down in the earth gardening?
Custom designed scrapbook albums and hand crafted wooden easels we call F.R.E.D. are just some of the posts you'll read about on For The Luv of Paper. I also share projects on here made by me and my family to hopefully inspire you! Cards, layouts and random DIY projects that happen to move us : ) It's fun to create and use all kinds of mediums to fill our home with keepsakes made together.

I heart cookies
Yumm : ) I love chocolate chips, don't you?
The Paper Studio pp had printed 'love to bake' on it but I went with I heart cookies as my take! I used my Cricut to cut out the mitt ( From My Kitchen), then embossed it with my cuttlebug (favorite folder). I used red MS baker's twine and tied on a cookie jar charm (I've had forever) from Karen Foster. The heart brad is Basic Grey.
Now I'm off to go get some milk for my cookies :)

Welcome
Ok, I made another layout but not the one I intended on making! The baby snail was staring at me waiting to be finished : ) lol!
Here is the 2nd and 3rd page of the album. The colors are a bit off in this photo, sorry.
I tried to tie it together as a seamless look with polka dot ribbon to keep the circles going. This is a much truer green shade in this photo.
The snail was cut from New Arrival out of textured paper from Core'dinations. Love this paper! The snail has felt on his ears for a fuzzy effect!
I mixed the title up using assorted chipboard alphas from my stash.

A storm is coming soon so I am losing daylight quickly : ( Does not make for quality pics. Off I go!
Thanks for leaving me comments : )

Day 1 - Born to be Wild!
I'm soo happy I decided to make a baby book for Michelle because I've found my way back to the scrapbooking world by doing it! : ) Baby gifts come natural for me so it didn't take much to get my juices flowing and jump on in!
I got another 2 pages completed for her baby boy book yesterday. Hope she likes it : )
Here is the themed bedding she picked out that I used as my inspiration for these next 2 pages:
The monkey blanket that goes with the nursery set gave me this idea:
The background has punched sage green circles (SU punch) to mimic the blanket design

random monkeys playing around on the page! The brads in their eyes look cute, don't ya think?

I've included 4 places to add photos of Chance, on Day 1!
A little journal spot to fill in his info too. The monkey brad is from Safari Kids by DCWV.
Monkey cuts came from the New Arrival cart for Cricut. Today I will be making a Baby Shower 2 page spread for the book. Wish me luck : ) My mojo is on its way back ! Woo hoo!!!

Chevron Chic Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!
The Moxie Fab World is having a very cool challenge and I decided to play along!
The "chevron" look is sooo hot right now and it's spreading to all things chic like clothing for babies, wall art, home decor and soo much more!
My card has a chevron pattern too but much more subtle and used in a natural way. Can ya spy it?
I used my Cricut "Preserves" cart to make the pineapple cut and title. The chevron stripes have been embossed with the SU Square Lattice folder for the texture. Golden Rod Stickles is what's shining on the flower center.

A profile shot to show some dimension of the chevron stripes! I raised every other chevron layer to really emphasize the look of the pineapple. It looks rough like a real pineapple doesn't it?!

What a fun look! There are so many applications and projects this can be used for. You can expect to see me playing with it again very soon ; )
Have a great weekend : )

Color Challenge May 24
happy Wednesday!!!! I tried several times to post yesterday but Blogger was freaky? Anyway....
A unique, soft, pretty color challenge is up at The Outlawz

Here is what I saw looking at this palette.

I used my Cricut and "Forever Young" cartridge to make the girl and the title. I'm so happy it's warming up and beginning to feel a little more like summer every day. I am truly a summer girl. Can't stand being cold! Flip flops are my favorite and I love girly summer dresses : )
Maybe if you are feelin' the heat you'll make a "cool" card too!
I'm thinking lemonade right about now :)
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

2 random baby cards I made
I made baby cards for some friends who just had a baby boy so I thought I'd share it here with you too!
The ducky card was made using the "New Arrival" Cartridge with my Cricut Expressions. I cut the bubbles out of the same cart and added Martha Stewart glitter to them to make them appear wet! The coordinating tag I made using the negative duck I cut out at a smaller size. Inked up a dauber and matched the cardstock as best I could. The large card I added a piece of paper that I fussy cut to look like waves. It's embossed with the Cuttlebug using the swirls folder and inked over with white pigment ink for a softer look. Here and there I added a touch of glitter so it sparkled just a bit! The ducks eye is a black pearl from MS too! Love her supplies so much!
The Stork delivering the baby boy is cut from the "Nursery Rhymes" cart. I also used my Expressions for this one. The two clouds were cut free hand from embroidery cloth for a textured feel. I layered the stork with grey cs to add depth. I cut a banner out of the same cart to look like an announcement across the sky!!!! Have ya ever seen those while you were at the beach? It reminds me of when I went to the Jersey Shore and the airplanes would fly by with special announcements on them!! I tied it on with thin white string.
Welcome baby William Ralph!!!

Do you see what I see?
Inspiration is everywhere you just have to have an open eye!
These containers were calling me to transform them and give new life to them. That I did!
Pop Tarts box = Santa
Ronzoni box = Rudolph
Panko bread crumbs = Frosty
See if you can recycle and re purpose a container to be something other than what it currently is. Get creative!

I made a card to match the Santa box. I happened to have belt ribbon-how cool is that?!
These are all the goodie bags I made up with clear lollipop bags and paper scraps as the toppers.
These are inside Santa and Frosty. Can you see the rock candy? When was the last time you had that?
Stuff them in and close the lid to hide the goodies until Christmas.
Rudolph got a pretzel bag stuffed with spice drops due to the length of the box. More goodies is always a good thing!
A closer look at Frosty. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss his nose so it wasn't flat. I tied on Bloomers as his scarf but that was just for pictures! I'll replace it with a felt scarf and save this for my layouts : )
The gold buckle is from K&Co glittered boxed set of alphas. It was a frame but now it's a buckle!
Rudolph got the treatment! I used core 'dinations paper on him and sanded the flowers to show up better. His eyes are punched with the SU oval punch (3/4 x 1 1/2)-white and the black circle on top is CM-3/4 inch. His nose was an adhesive circle (came in sheets) I bought long ago. The antlers were cut out using the Cricut-Christmas Cheer cart.
Hope this gets you thinking "out of the box!!!!"
Have a great weekend : )

Winter Wonderland
Sleigh bells riiiing, are ya listening? In the laaaane, snow is glistening-can you see the snow I made on this layout?
A beautiful siiiiight, we're happy toniiiiiight.... walking in the winter wonderland!!! I was a snowflake in this play when I was in 2nd grade : ) I have a soft spot for this song!
I started out making this 2 page layout for me but in the middle of the process I decided I'm going to surprise a friend of mine and give it to her!! So shhh!~ : )
Almost of all the cuts seen are from "A Child's year" Cricut cartridge.
The small snowflakes with the rhinestones and mini trees are MS punched. Fine glitter is MS too. The mom and child are embossed with houndstooth folder by Cuttlebug. The ice skate blades have Stickles on them to look slick and wet. The snow details on the page edges are brushed on with acrylic white paint. On the bottom edges I added Aleen's True Snow. If you have not used this yet-get some -it is the coolest stuff! I added it to their hoods as fluffy trim too!

The snowmen border came from Michael's as a 12 inch adhesive strip. Queen & Co-Felt Fusion.
I made the tree directly on the paper with white acrylic paint then added ultra fine glitter so it glistened a bit. The gold star is cut from The Joys of the Season cart.
The ribbon is sooo light and icy blue I had to embellish with it somewhere! Why not add another snowflake to it?
I wish you could feel the photo corners I made here. It is suede-ish ribbon. Soo smooth and cool feeling.
I love the trim on the title box. I had this trim for so long and it seemed perfect for this layout. Can you see the clear crystals dangling right over the word WALKING? Icy touch that won't melt!
Snowlady has glitter details that are barely visible-sorry for such poor lighting here-it's dusk already so I had to edit all levels and it does not do this justice but hope you can see. The little boy is holding a red heart up she has Lace Stickles on her apron! I tried to use real fabric but it covered up the pleat detail in the die cut so I opted for this instead.
I sure hope she likes the 2 page layout and maybe she can find some time to take outdoor snowy pics when it snows later on this year.

Cancer Divas
A layout inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness Month
I wanted to incorporate the girls somehow from the Cricut cartridge Forever Young. I chose a variety of cuts and showed how they all have one thing in common-cancer. The "divas" stand and fight together as one.

Mother
Here I used ultra fine Martha Stewart glitter for her (body) hot suit and pink glitter for her shoes! I had to do it!
Me
The dress here is shiny pearly pink paper. I tied a pink ribbon on her waist like a belt. A couple flowers to embellish her gown and she's set.
Let's keep fighting for a cure and save more lives. God Bless all the survivors out there.
Have a peaceful Sunday.
