Another Happy Easter & Rain, rain go away!
I am so happy I was able to create 2 more cards today. Sometimes I just don't get the opportunity and inspiration at the same time!
Today was a continuation using the Easter cartridge. I used the patterned transparency sheets again for the umbrella. The slick look kinda goes with the rain theme don't ya think? How awesome are those metal rain drops? I know! I found those at Joann Fabrics over 2 yrs ago. I am so happy I still had them in my stash.
The old Sizzix found its way out today. I had to dust it off a bit to cut out a beach umbrella repurposed as a rain umbrella! Momma and her chickadee are out for a wet stroll in their Sunday best! They are embossed with swiss dots. I covered their pretty pink bows with ultra fine MS glitter. The font I used was from Lettering delights, it's called "Vanilla". I like the bouncy rounded slick look.
The jumping bunny was embossed with the mini hearts folder. His bow is also covered with MS glitter. The sentiment Happy Easter was stamped with CTMH set Seasonal Celebrations. Tiny in scale, perfect for what I needed. I just love the mini pearl details. Not too much fuss going on.
It reminds me of a new baby card. The purity of gingham and pearls always does when combined with a touch of eyelet.
Hope I inspired you today!

Easter Cards
Well, I think I got a jump start on Easter cards this year. I just loooove bunnies!
I could make them all year and never tire of them.
I couldn't wait to get the Easter cartridge so I could play.
The very first cut I made with it was the pillow box. Oh my gosh! I could have screamed! I love this. I was going to slip in a piece of patterned paper and call it a day but then I had this idea come to me! Use the Doodlebug Design inc. crushed velvet flock to cover his little body!!!! Ohhh I love how he came out. It feels awesome too. The package set I bought from Hobby Lobby came as a variety set with these teeny tiny bottles. I thought to myself this is going to use my whole bottle of chocolate up on one rabbit. So what it'll be worth it. Can I just tell you that this stuff goes a looong way. I should have really taken a picture of the bottle now to show how little of it is actually missing. I am so happy because the set was not cheap. I did in fact use my 40% coupon though!
Moving on....
Happy Easter is cut from transarency overlays. I do not know what I am going to do when this pad runs out. I love this but I don't think she makes it anymore. Dena's Closet by Colorbok. Such a pretty slab to own. Have you ever heard of her? Dena Designs. She used to be on DIY hosting a show called Embellish This! I liked it but I guess it didn't make it in the DIY world long.
The eggs and crosses are also cut from this slab.
The baby bunny favor box was a pre-cut box. I bought the embossed paper box pad at AC Moore. K& Co puts it out. Ohh! I love these. There are 3 designs to work with and they all have embellishments to go with each design. 24 sheets ,embossed, die-cut boxes with 3 different embossed patterns Just punch, fold, layer and glue! Perfect for quick teacher gifts, secretaries at school or friends. They are the right size too to fill up with chocolate eggs or jelly beans. Yumm!
Have a good day!
Think Spring!
