Color Throwdown #139

I'm so excited about the colors at the throwdown this week!!!!

http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/

Here is what I made with them. 3-4 colors were required an I used all of 5 of them!

I finally ordered the Top Note die from SU (Thanks, Mo!) I made a card base using the die-don't cut all the way up on the folded cs. The cricut cart used is Graphically Speaking. I forgot how cool this one is with its "jumbled" word feature!
Hope ya like it!

Color Throwdown #137

It's time for another Color Throwdown !!!! I love these challenges sooo much. It's for fun and not a lot of pressure to make it happen when the inspiration colors are so awesome!

Here are the colors:

Here is the card set I made:

It's hard to make just one card when you have all these supplies in front of you : ) I get carried away but loooove it!

A mini card embossed with swiss dots. I punched out the heart and let yellow shine through!
Added a hanging heart to the bow/
Lil' Ducky riding the wave! Standard card size.
I made this yellow flower out of canvas. The frayed edges were easy just pull away strips until you get the achieved look you want. I sewed in a pearl to the crocheted flower center and tied with thin string to keep it delicate looking. Satin ribbon as a stem. The teal frame is embossed but you can barely see it-they are inverted instead of popping up!

A slim simple card with 3 random flowers. I love the little bee n the last one! It was a button and I cut the shank off to attach it.
This felt flower was easy peasy! I just attached it! It's Dear Lizzy by American Crafts. I used embroidery thread to make the stem and leaf.

I hope you play along too and submit your project so we can all see your craftiness :)

Have a great Sunday : )
Thanks for looking!

Moxie Fab World Card Sets Challenge

I was told about this challenge at The Moxie Fab World so I thought why not add a container to my set and enter it! The best part is we give away our creations at the end if we are randomly chosen. I love the idea of that because I have accumulated soooo many cards and containers that I don't know what to do with them all, so this is a great idea!!!!

I love to share!!!

My butterfly card set now has a matching shopping bag with a surprise inside it!
Here is what the set includes for a lucky winner:

An 8x8 decorated chipboard frame/mini album. Inside is blank to personalize.

A "Wonderful Friend" matching card

A "Hi" card. The butterfly background paper was stamped by me. Coordinating stick pin (made by me!).

The shopping bag made to match (Cricut cart: Tags,Bags, Boxes and More - @ 5 1/2 inches)the set of butterfly cards and book/album. I put a piece of vellum in the window to make it appear a bit softer. I tied on light blue ribbon and a "Hope" tag with string. I couldn't resist putting another one of those whimsy beautiful butterflies on the bag!
Surprise!!!!
If they win my set they get 3 stick pins too! I wrapped them up and tucked them in the shopping bag for them : )

I'm excited to win to give this set away!!!!

So glad a friend told me about this challenge! Thanks Bren :)

Play along and maybe you'll be the lucky winner of this set!!!

I was a featured stamper!!!!

How cool is it to be featured? VERY!!!!! : )

I have been smiling ear to ear since I got the news!!!

I found this site called the Color Throwdown and I loooved the challenge colors they chose for the week so I entered for fun, never thought I'd win. Holy Moly! I did!!!!

I am proud to display their badge on my sidebar - take a peek!

The projects in my last post were featured ; )

Here are the colors to work with :

Color Throwdown #136
Here is what I made:
(I couldn't make just one card, I kept going, 3 cards and a board book later.....!) Not to mention my love of butterflies I was meant to play today! It felt great!!!
All papers are DCWV-Mariposa (means butterfly in italian)Stack

Group Shot came out a little darker than I had hoped but it gets lighter in the individual shots.

This is the board book or mini album. It is 8x8 held together with sky blue ribbon.
Stick pins made by me! My new obsession: ) MS edger -double scallop. Random buttons to coordinate.
My Minds Eye bakers twine in blue and white-love this stuff! I made the background pp with the stamp shown and VersaColor Mocha Truffle ink
MS glitter over the sentiment and a Recollections Boutique Fleur Butterfly embellishment pop dotted on!

I had such fun making all this and can't wait to participate in more throwdowns!
