Chevron Chic Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!
The "chevron" look is sooo hot right now and it's spreading to all things chic like clothing for babies, wall art, home decor and soo much more!
My card has a chevron pattern too but much more subtle and used in a natural way. Can ya spy it?
I used my Cricut "Preserves" cart to make the pineapple cut and title. The chevron stripes have been embossed with the SU Square Lattice folder for the texture. Golden Rod Stickles is what's shining on the flower center.
A profile shot to show some dimension of the chevron stripes! I raised every other chevron layer to really emphasize the look of the pineapple. It looks rough like a real pineapple doesn't it?!
What a fun look! There are so many applications and projects this can be used for. You can expect to see me playing with it again very soon ; )
Have a great weekend : )

Color Challenge May 24
A unique, soft, pretty color challenge is up at The Outlawz
Here is what I saw looking at this palette.
I used my Cricut and "Forever Young" cartridge to make the girl and the title. I'm so happy it's warming up and beginning to feel a little more like summer every day. I am truly a summer girl. Can't stand being cold! Flip flops are my favorite and I love girly summer dresses : )
Maybe if you are feelin' the heat you'll make a "cool" card too!
I'm thinking lemonade right about now :)
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

2 random baby cards I made
The ducky card was made using the "New Arrival" Cartridge with my Cricut Expressions. I cut the bubbles out of the same cart and added Martha Stewart glitter to them to make them appear wet! The coordinating tag I made using the negative duck I cut out at a smaller size. Inked up a dauber and matched the cardstock as best I could. The large card I added a piece of paper that I fussy cut to look like waves. It's embossed with the Cuttlebug using the swirls folder and inked over with white pigment ink for a softer look. Here and there I added a touch of glitter so it sparkled just a bit! The ducks eye is a black pearl from MS too! Love her supplies so much!
The Stork delivering the baby boy is cut from the "Nursery Rhymes" cart. I also used my Expressions for this one. The two clouds were cut free hand from embroidery cloth for a textured feel. I layered the stork with grey cs to add depth. I cut a banner out of the same cart to look like an announcement across the sky!!!! Have ya ever seen those while you were at the beach? It reminds me of when I went to the Jersey Shore and the airplanes would fly by with special announcements on them!! I tied it on with thin white string.
Welcome baby William Ralph!!!
Color Challenge May 17
Denim, White, Copper
Here is the gift set I made:
It contains a card with a denim pocket that is held on with copper brads,a bookmark (abc123 edger by Martha Stewart) I embossed with argyle and a tag to attach to the gift box once I wrap it up. I cut up an old pair of jeans and used embroidery floss to add just a few spots of pink to attach it and add color to the project! That is all th stitching I did. Easy peasy!
Try it and you are gonna see how fast it comes together!
Happy Wednesday : )

Color Challenge May 3rd
This week at The Outlawz Color Challenge all DT members used the same digital image to show how we all have unique styles.
Here is what we used as our inspiration photo (for colors):
Digi's With Attitude has supplied the Design team with a fabulous image to play with today. We were all given Tabatha and Tony to play with. Good thing too, because the color inspiration picture this week features our colors of Orange, Black or Brown, White and the Mahvelous May twist is to use twine on your project!
Here is my version:
It's hard to see but I added flock to the whites of their ears and pink to their noses and tan flock to look like a shadow. STabitha also is sporting a rhinestone necklace! Click on image to see larger version!
You have to see what the other DT members did-AMAZING,really. I don't colr with Copics but they do and they seriously belong in magazines or something!
Hope you are inspired by the colors and make something to share with us!

Color Throwdown #139
http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/
Here is what I made with them. 3-4 colors were required an I used all of 5 of them!
I finally ordered the Top Note die from SU (Thanks, Mo!) I made a card base using the die-don't cut all the way up on the folded cs. The cricut cart used is Graphically Speaking. I forgot how cool this one is with its "jumbled" word feature!
Hope ya like it!

Color Throwdown #137
Here are the colors:
Here is the card set I made:
It's hard to make just one card when you have all these supplies in front of you : ) I get carried away but loooove it!
A mini card embossed with swiss dots. I punched out the heart and let yellow shine through!
Added a hanging heart to the bow/
Lil' Ducky riding the wave! Standard card size.
I made this yellow flower out of canvas. The frayed edges were easy just pull away strips until you get the achieved look you want. I sewed in a pearl to the crocheted flower center and tied with thin string to keep it delicate looking. Satin ribbon as a stem. The teal frame is embossed but you can barely see it-they are inverted instead of popping up!
A slim simple card with 3 random flowers. I love the little bee n the last one! It was a button and I cut the shank off to attach it.
This felt flower was easy peasy! I just attached it! It's Dear Lizzy by American Crafts. I used embroidery thread to make the stem and leaf.
I hope you play along too and submit your project so we can all see your craftiness :)
Have a great Sunday : )
Thanks for looking!

Moxie Fab World Card Sets Challenge
I love to share!!!
My butterfly card set now has a matching shopping bag with a surprise inside it!
Here is what the set includes for a lucky winner:
An 8x8 decorated chipboard frame/mini album. Inside is blank to personalize.
A "Wonderful Friend" matching card
A "Hi" card. The butterfly background paper was stamped by me. Coordinating stick pin (made by me!).
The shopping bag made to match (Cricut cart: Tags,Bags, Boxes and More - @ 5 1/2 inches)the set of butterfly cards and book/album. I put a piece of vellum in the window to make it appear a bit softer. I tied on light blue ribbon and a "Hope" tag with string. I couldn't resist putting another one of those whimsy beautiful butterflies on the bag!
If they win my set they get 3 stick pins too! I wrapped them up and tucked them in the shopping bag for them : )
I'm excited to win to give this set away!!!!
So glad a friend told me about this challenge! Thanks Bren :)
Play along and maybe you'll be the lucky winner of this set!!!
