I made this birthday bag for a friend. Guess what? It was made with one sheet of 12x12 paper. It was fun to make and easy too. I made monogram seals using the files from the Cutting Cafe.
I put them in a little clear bag to show them off better. The set comes with a bunch of different style so I included 2 of each style for her. You can use any paper just as long as it is a little on the thicker side so the bag is not too flimsy. I found directions from the Chicnscratch youtube video. I love projects that come together quickly and easily. The paper that I used for this purse is from K&Company "Berry Sweet." I used a scalloped punch from Stampin' Up and then a smaller circle that fit within the scallop cut with my Creative Memories circle set. The sentiment on the smaller circle is from the Cutting Cafe also. The flowers were punched from a mini punch from All Night Media. Rhinestones in the center were in my stash for a long time so I don't know where they are from. I even made my own shredded paper so it matched the purse! Cut a bunch of strips and keep cutting until you have the desired amount! The side view shows the folds. Don't be afraid to try one yourself. Thanks for looking!

Cupcake Card

This is a yummy card I made using a file from the Cutting Cafe. The icing on this cupcake is made out of Flower Soft. Once you use this stuff be prepared to get addicted. It's sooo super easy to use and fun. The cherry on top has diamond glaze on it for the "wet" look. As for the page I made it's not typical I work with a single 12x12 but I just had to play with the polka dot stamp from Stampin' Up. That's the bottom half of the paper. Along the bottom edge I used Making Memories Embossed Elegance paper-dotted swiss in white. I layered assorted buttons on top. It just feels fun to me-like a cheery cupcake. Do you notice the centers of some of my buttons? I squeezed in baby brads! There is even a heart shaped one too! Another hole filler is the waxy flax tied in knots or tucked behind the button. In the center of the layout the paper border strip is punched with the Martha Stewart edger. I am addicted to her punches. The ribbon is from Michaels dollar bin. The red hinges are from Close To My Heart. I am not sure what I will add to this page but I just had so much fun making it.

Communion Cards

Sorry forgot to add pics!
Well, I tried to shop for some communion cards and I was not impressed at all with the selection. After making cards myself to my own specifications it's hard to go with store bought. They all seemed so plain and generic so I gave it a shot-using some newly purchased files from SVGCuts.com I was much happier : ) (NOTE: SVGCuts.com sends FREE svg files to your inbox every week if you sign up for the newsletter! The inspiration came from the basic layout of the Hallmark store bought card and I came up with some of my own Communion cards. Take a look. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for taking a look. Jenn

Oh my ...the mess I have made!!!
It just isn't working for me anymore. I need space and have to purge for sure!
I must have tried every which way possible in here to crop and create comfortably. I end up changing it every few months because I feel blocked. I just emptied the closets out to get some paper away -maybe it won't be so dusty when I work in here. I am trying to seriously get rid of the stuff I do not use regularly. I want to create more and by having piles and mounds I just get overwhelmed. So this is the BEFORE picture. Be sure to check back soon to see the AFTER pictures. I hope I can do it. Wish me luck! Wow! I have a blog!

Hi,

Ok, this blog thing is cool but weird. I think it's because I have no idea what I am doing yet.

I am going to give it a try and see how this work out. A blogger! lol. It's funny because I never saw
me doing this.

I enjoy browsing random blogs which almost always leads me to great stuff.

My inspiration comes from many places such as
  1. the current season
  2. a new paper line
  3. my mood
  4. and yes.... blogs.
I love to make paper projects. I enjoy making hand made gifts for friends and family. In most cases I take pictures of my projects so I figured why not just post them here for the world to see!
If I inspire someone great if not I will just have a growing collection here on my blog.

Get over the fear of the unknown and get on with the "Blog" times I guess!

I will try to post often to keep you inspired but remember .....life happens.

Thanks for checking out my blog,

Jenn
