Custom designed scrapbook albums and hand crafted wooden easels we call F.R.E.D. are just some of the posts you'll read about on For The Luv of Paper. I also share projects on here made by me and my family to hopefully inspire you! Cards, layouts and random DIY projects that happen to move us : ) It's fun to create and use all kinds of mediums to fill our home with keepsakes made together.

Vintage Baby
I gotta tell ya I am really having fun taking part in the project challenges at
Bitten By The Bug being hosted by Regina Easter. This challenge was a "no brainer" for me to enter. I love baby anything and everything. This image of the Vintage Baby was just a good excuse to play along!
Ooh!! I had so much fun making her come alive on my project. I decided to keep it a creamy palette because the background she is on is that tint. My thought was using white would make it look dingy. I had to decide how to make her pop. The decorative edge was done by using the Martha Stewart eyelet edger. Love these punches and edgers soooo much! Moving on...Then I matted it on Making Memories (great buy at M's) Embossed Elegance paper-in the cream with mini stars -so cute. I thought it would tie in with the star she is hanging from. I stitched that cardstock onto a piece of 8x8 polka dot pattern paper (from M's). My Brother sewing machine is a favorite tool of mine. I love vintage looking detail like the smocking effect. mmmm!! so pretty! I could just sew all day once I get started. Next I glued down a string of pearls. The "sweet" charm is from CTMH and the flowers are Prima I think. They came from Utah-a gift from a friend-in an orange organza bag-but I don't have the tag anymore? The brads are from CTMH too. Tried to keep the look muted and let her be the focal point. I added frosted lace Stickles to her bonnet and yellow Stickles in the center of the pink flowers. I cut cream grosgrain ribbon to make my own photo corners and finally the Cricut cut I used was "Little One" from New Arrival (that was one of my dirst carts when I got my baby bug : ). Oh yeah one more thing I forgot to add is that I stamped decorative corners in baby pink ink using CTMH My Acrylix-Adorning Corners and applied them to opposite corners in the card. Sounds like I covered it all. Thanks for looking at my card. Let me know what you think. Thanks!!
