Recycling Cuttlebug embossing folder packages

please forgive the gray hue over the photos -the lighting is terrible.
Ok, please forgive me but I am a little bit behind with the Cuttlebug machine and all its great capabilities. Seriously, I had no idea what I was missing until now. After reading a ton of blogs is when I decided to go for it. I bought the machine and a few folders to go with it. I am in love I must say. The ease of this machine and the endless possibilities... oh my! Since we are all recycling these days I decided to reuse the packages from the Cuttlebug Embossing folders I just bought. They are the perfect size for a handmade card with either a gift card or a photo inside. The other neat thing is the plastic package will protect the embellishments while going through snail mail. I had sooo much fun today playing with the new slabs I bought. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I want to help inspire you as I was inspired by the many great bloggers out there. : )

Happy crafting and I hope you try recycling your packages too! I'd love to see projects! Thanks for stopping by.

  2. thanks! I had fun thinking of what to do next!!! Ya know what I also thought of? Don't use the back part of the package-just the clear part to hold memorabilia -and just attach directly to the page. Page pockets! I will have to try the next one and see how it works!

  4. I'm so behind on the times. What does a Cuttle Bug do? Is it a die cutter? This may be something else "I need." Where do you get your textured paper? I've looked at Michael's and Joann's and never can find it. Maybe my stores out here do not carry it. Sharon

  5. Sharon,
sorry it took me so long to get back to you. The Cuttlebug is an embosser/cutter. I use my Cricut machine for my cuts so I mainly use the Cuttlebug for embossing-"texturizing" paper. That is what you see in the projects. They make folders of all different kinds -you can't even imagine the variety they have out now. I am just getting caught up with the old styles now they have Pre-order stuff out and I want those too!! I fell in love as soon as I realized what it was capable of! I would use my texture paper very sparingly so I didn't run out. Now I do not have to worry about that!!! I make my one now. I am a gadget girl and love new techniques and tools so don't ask me how I missed this one!! I must warn you- I have been called an "enabler" in the past!!! I just love to share my passion and new finds with friends so don't say I didn't warn ya ; ) lol!!!
